Weather and natural hazards don't distinguish between different countries and are not bounded by national borders! Therefore, by all means, it is necessary to corporate in the field of hazard forcasts and hazard protections. An improved coorperation is not only required for operational forecast and warning activities but also for research and development activities. The project members, ZAMG, GIS, GIAM and LWD Carinthia are encouraged to improve the natural hazard forecast in the Karawank Alps and to increase the safety of inhabitants, mountaineers and people who are looking for rest and relaxation.
